Tchy is the screen name of J. T. Phillips, a Canadian English major with a penchant for storytelling. For the curious, this longtime nickname is pronounced "chi" and is one syllable only.

Hi, I'm Tchy. I've wanted to make a living writing novels since I was approximately ten years old, and as of high school this has expanded into an interest in graphic novels, television and movie scripts, and occasionally short stories as well. My passion is writing, but I love drawing as well, and starting in my second semester of grade nine and continuing all the way up to my high school graduation, I was one of the main admins for my school's Anime Club.

On top of being an anime geek, I'm also a Dungeons and Dragons player, a musical theatre participant, a ball-jointed doll enthusiast, and somewhat obsessed with history, mythology, and general trivia. I am fond of music, laughter, people, magic, Converse shoes, crosses, theology, languages, stripes, piercings, maps, dragons, psychology, belts, lions, dancing, hugs, ideas, spiders, fire, punk, love, and talking in the third person. I am generally fairly silly and tend towards loud and somewhat spastic.

Between July 2009 and July 2010, my family lived in France, where I absorbed history, culture, and language with equal enthusiasm, and where I spent a good deal of time writing and working on my own projects. My travel blog from that year is still online and can be found at The Wanderer Chronicles, for those who are interested.
